Data Validation Overview

Aim

This article explains the “Data Validation Overview” table and their associated functions.

Procedure

It can be found under the menu section “Study Overview” and subsection “Data Validation Overview” (Figure 1).

The “Data Validation Overview” is presented in form of a table. Each validation rule breach for each patient is presented in a single row with additional information of “Date created”, “Date Resolved” (if applicable) and a “Status” of the rule breach (Figure 2).

  • Status “Open” means the data input violates one of the validation rules

  • Status “Resolved” means the initially saved data input had violated one of the validation rules, but the data input was corrected and breach could be resolved by this action

The complete “Data Validation Overview” table can be downloaded as an Excel file by clicking on “Export” and subsequently “Excel” in the upper right corner.

In the last column of each row an additional action log related to the validation rule breach can be seen by clicking on the blue button “History” (Figure 3). This action log includes the history of data completion and updates associated with the validation rules breaches. The export of the “Data Validation Overview” table includes the additional “History” information.
